I believe in the saying of Mother Theresa  - Peace begins with a Smile . A hearty gentle Smile could give anyone miles of Joy , which could be experienced from the soul within and out. As Peace is something that cannot be brought or imposed by law , we have to understand our neighbours and their neighbours and ultimately the society that we are living in to spread the joy of living in peace.

- The Hong Kong Telugu Samakhya (THKTS)
Peace can change a person, society and the world! No hatred, no judgement, no prejudice. Peace can be a loving eyesight, a kiss, a hello, a warm handshake, an encouraging greeting, a cheerful smile, a comforting touch, a hand to offer help and support, a silent companion, a unspoken understanding, a positive attitude .. a lot more in our well-being. It is important element for upward spiral, moving everything in a harmonized and fruitful way in the world. We all can do it and have it!

This is my peace elephant.
Wisdom is in the head. The tusks mean dignity. The eyes see love. The trunk smells freedom and the two ears hear equality. The four legs walk in creativity, tolerance, harmony and strength. The body shows togetherness. The tail sways in relaxation and play.

PEACE is no weapons !  PEACE can bring about country's prosperity and contentment of people on EARTH.

'PEACE' is a beautiful word in this crucial time of the 21st century.

Let us create opportunities to use it more often,

Talk more for PEACE,
Think more for PEACE,
Dream more for PEACE,
Design more for PEACE,
Paint more for PEACE,
Sing more for PEACE,
Write more for PEACE,
Run more for PEACE,

Engrave PEACE in our minds and hearts.

Use PEACE always!

Some thoughts in engaging youth participation in peace building
In Zechariah 8:12 God says, "I am planting seeds of peace and prosperity among you…”
God is a seed-planter. He is not only a God of peace, but He sows seeds of peace. We should also be peace seed-planters.

Manola De Vos promoted some ways to successfully engage youths in peace building.  These include the following:

(1)Create spaces for youths to express opinions and listen to them.
(2)Enhance the peace-building knowledge and skills of young people.
(3)Build trust between youths and government.
(4)Promote intergenerational exchange.
(4)Support youths who are positively contributing to their communities.

The above perhaps will shed some light on how to engage youths in Hong Kong in peace building. Young people, giving the opportunities, can become agents of peace.  They have their own views and contributions and are treasures of our society.  Creative channels should be established to help them express their opinions to decision-makers and broader society.
